The FTS1225BT 1225 Litre Bunded Oil Tank is a robust, double-skinned fuel storage tank designed for the safe storage of heating oil, diesel and other suitable fuels. Manufactured from high-grade polyethylene, the FTS1225BT is corrosion resistant, has high impact strength and is UV stabilised. The tank features a double-layered construction, with the inner tank providing the primary storage vessel and the outer tank providing secondary containment in the event of a spill or leak.

Bunded Double-Skin Construction
The FTS1225BT uses a tank-within-a-tank design. The inner tank acts as the primary fuel storage vessel, while the outer tank provides a secondary containment area.
In the event of a leak or spill from the inner tank, the outer bund is designed to contain the surplus fuel. This provides an additional level of protection around the stored fuel and helps reduce the risk of fuel escaping beyond the tank.
High-Grade Polyethylene Construction
The FTS1225BT is manufactured from high-grade polyethylene and is British made. The material provides corrosion resistance, high impact strength and UV stabilisation, making the tank suitable for outdoor fuel storage applications.
The robust polyethylene construction also provides a low-maintenance alternative to traditional metal fuel storage tanks.

Delivery
The FTS1225BT is delivered on a standard kerbside basis, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further into the property.
The current delivery information states that tanks can be lowered to ground level to assist with unloading. HIAB delivery is also available by request at an additional cost where required.
Customers should ensure that suitable vehicle access is available and that the installation area and base are prepared before delivery.

Delivery Terms
Estimated Leadtime is 2 to 3 Working Days. (Scottish highland postcodes may experience longer lead times)
The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.
Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload
These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.
Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.
18-tonne tail-lift HGV
This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.
Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.
HIAB delivery
HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.
Accessories
Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.
Returns Information
Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.
Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.
How to return an item
- Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
- Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
- Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
- Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.
