SL1000BT 1000 Litre Slimline Bunded Heating Oil Tank
The Deso SL1000BT is a 1,000 litre slimline bunded oil tank designed for the secure storage of heating oil and compatible fuel oils. Manufactured in the UK from high-grade polyethylene, this double-skinned tank combines primary fuel storage with an integrated outer bund for secondary containment.
With a capacity of 1,000 litres, approximately 220 UK gallons, the Deso SL1000BT is suitable for both domestic and commercial fuel oil storage applications where a slimline tank design is required.

Slimline Bunded Tank Construction
The Deso SL1000BT features a tank-within-a-tank construction.
The inner tank acts as the primary storage vessel, while the outer tank provides secondary containment. In the event of a spill or leakage from the primary tank, surplus fuel is retained within the outer tank.
This double-skinned construction provides additional containment and makes the SL1000BT suitable for installations where bunded oil storage is required.
High-Grade Polyethylene Construction
The Deso SL1000BT is manufactured from high-grade polyethylene. The manufacturer describes the tank as corrosion resistant, with high impact strength and UV stabilisation.
The tank is British made, and the product page states that Deso tanks are CE marked and comply with the latest European standards.

Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.
Collection may be available ex works (Please contact us in regards to this option).

Delivery Terms
Estimated Delivery in 2-3 Working Days
The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.
Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload
These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.
Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.
18-tonne tail-lift HGV
This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.
Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.
HIAB delivery
HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.
Accessories
Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.
Returns Information
Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.
Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.
How to return an item
- Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
- Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
- Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
- Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.
